Memorial Weekend!

We had a great extended weekend! Our Memorial Day was a good one. Paw Paw Jack came over and ate lunch with us, and got to see the kids play outside. Izze was really excited to show him her new kiddie pool and swing-set. Her pool from last year blew away with this windy Oklahoma weather. She was really excited to get a new one. This year we opted for a hard pool instead of the blow up kind (maybe we can keep it around longer this way). Izze is enjoying her swing-set. I can hardly keep her inside anymore. On Memorial Day, she kinda started playing in the pool with her clothes on, so we ended up taking everything but the diaper off. She just loves to be in the pool. Paw Paw enjoyed watching her and was taking pictures of her in the pool and brother in the swing. It was a good afternoon.

Later that evening we went to some friends house to cookout and hangout. We watched the kids drag out all the toys and play with each other. We had great food and great friends to share it with what more could you ask for. Thank you guys for having us over for the last event at your place. Love you guys! Our prayers are with you as you move, and start a new chapter in your lives.

Such a Big Boy!

Had to post these pictures. Ian is starting to walk with his little stand up car. He is still scared to try it by himself, but I know it could be any time now. He is so amazing. He understands things, and is so aware of what's going on. He is signing with his hands the word "more", and he always wants more when it comes to food. He seems to catch on fast to things. The other picture I thought was sooo cute. He had just gotten up from his nap, and I snapped a picture. He has melted our hearts, and we are so glad the Lord brought him into our lives.

Monday, Monday So Good To Me.........

Monday at our mom's group we all had so much fun! After taking a little detour, we finally arrived at one of our mom's home. She has a great house with some goats. The kids got to pet the goats, and Izze got to feed them grass. She was really excited about that. Then we had a picnic out on her deck, it was great weather to be outside. Izze loved the fact that she got to play with someone else's toys too. She was so excited about playing and seeing the goats, that she had to finish her lunch in the car on the way home. She was just too busy to eat. Thanks ladies for a great afternoon! Thanks to Elizabeth for opening up your home.

Monday evening I got to spend some time with a very good friend of mine. I admire her integrity, her honesty, her openness to be real, and as a friend I can trust. Trust is a word that I hold dear. I am still learning about this word trust, and through it all I am a better person, and hopefully becoming a better friend in doing so. Thanks to you for being you, and for the laughs, although sometimes it may not be so funny at the time.

Weekend Catch-Up!

This past weekend was a good one! Friday we had some family time. The weather was great! Saturday we had the media team over for a mid-afternoon get together. It was nice to meet some of the people who are committed to making a difference each week in other peoples lives. Sunday we had to miss out on going to service because Ian was sick. He had a little fever, and his nose just wouldn't stop pouring. Izze had a little bit of the nose thing, so I guess they picked it up somewhere. Brian and I have stayed clear from it so far. We ended the weekend with a nice walk to the park that Izze loves so much. It was a nice weekend.

Breezy Walk!

Tired babies!

Look at those smiles!

The kids and I took a little walk before nap time today! It was a little breezy, and cool, but not bad. The kids didn't seem to mind at all, and by the end of the walk I had to take off my jacket. They do get heavy! They both enjoy taking walks. I would take Isabelle for walks when she was little and now Ian, and they both like taking them. That is the one time I don't really hear much out of them. By the time we got back home, Ian had his fingers in his mouth (sure sign of ready for a nap), and Izze had her lamb up to her mouth (another sure sign of nap time). It's so funny how they both have certain things they do when they get tired. We had a great walk, and I got my exercise in.

3 Baby Boys Arriving Soon!!

Monday at our mom's group we had a baby shower for three incredible women and mothers! They are all expecting boys in the next weeks to months ahead. These women are amazing women of God, friends, and mothers already! We had a great lunch, and we were able to bless them all with gifts for their new boys coming soon. These women really deserve so much more than just these simple gifts that were given, they give so much of themselves each and every day, not just to their families, but to their church family, ministries, jobs, the list could go on. It is a privilege to know each one of them, and I wish them the very best with their new addition to their families, can't wait to meet each one of them. Love you ladies! (Also, thanks to Amy for hosting the shower, your place is great to hang-out and let the kids play. Izze had so much fun)

Mother's Day 2008!

We have had a busy weekend and week so far. It's all that good busy stuff though. This weekend we spent a lot of family time together. The kids and Brian took me shopping for Mother's Day, and then a little dinner. We tried a different place to shop and I really enjoyed it. It reminded me of being at Utica Square in Tulsa, except smaller.
I really enjoyed Mother's Day this year. Izze and Ian (with daddy's help)made me a card. It was exciting to get something from Izze that she actually did herself. I waited 7 years for my Isabelle and almost 2 for Ian, they mean so much to me. I am so in awe of them and to God for giving them to us. Being a Mother is one of the most challenging things I think I have done, but the most rewarding too. I wouldn't want to be doing anything else at this time in their lives. They are both in fun stages, and each seems to be doing new things all the time. Izze is singing more and pretending to play different instruments. I wonder who she gets that from? Ian is saying more words, and being more expressive. He seems like he knows a lot of what is going on and being said now. I LOVE those little gifts from God!
Brian and the kids took me out for dinner after the Sunday services, and naps were finished up. My choice, it was Outback! I really had a great Mother's Day, thanks to my husband and babies for a great day!

This Sunday was also my first Sunday back on the worship team! I was really excited and yet anxious about how the kids would do with being there for four services. They did great though. A little tired, but I didn't have to go and get them once. I was so glad.
This was also the 6th year Anniversary of People's Church. How exciting! It is funny to look back at where we started from and where God has brought us today! So many things have changed and developed, and so many lives have been changed. What can you say except----Thank you God for a great 6 years of being at People's Church, and being with the leadership team that we are privileged to be a part of!

Sweet boy!

I just had to show off these pictures. Our handsome little guy. He was playing pick-a-boo with me. He looks handsome in his new outfit nanny & papa got him. Ian is so sweet. He has such a sweetness about him, just like his sister. He loves to laugh, smile, play pick-a-boo, and play catch you games/tickle games.

What a Week!

What a week the kids and I have had so far. Brian has been at a conference, so we always try and stay busy when he is gone. We started out the week with the kids helping me pick out some hanging flower baskets for outside, then picking out some baby shower gifts. We had a play date, and pizza all in one day. The next day we were busy with some more shopping, and then to a birthday party. Izze had so much fun at the party. She really enjoyed the cupcakes and the bubbles she got to take home. Wednesday (today), it rained mostly all day. We headed to the mall for some more shopping, plus I had to take some stuff back. While at the mall, we just got our food and it was announced there was a tornado warning and for everyone to head to the designated storm areas. We were there with some other friends so we nervously headed down to the basement in Dillards. We waited the storm out, praying and feeding the kids the food we had purchased to eat in the food court but.... I was so nervous. They finally told us it had passed, so we packed up the kids and headed home. I thanked the Lord for his protection over our family and friends. I will always remember this day. This time of year makes me so nervous. Tomorrow Brian will be home and we plan to have a great weekend with daddy.

Weekend Catch-Up!

We had a great weekend! We started out Friday meeting some friends of ours down at the Edmond Arts Festival. I think we may prefer this one over the OKC Arts Festival, just because it is a little less crowded. The food was just as good both places though, we got some of our favorites again. Izze and Ian enjoyed the kids area. They both got to look at the ponies, and then Izze took a jump in the big blow-up jumper. Then it was time for a balloon. A clown was making balloons for the kids, and Izze chose a worm balloon. It was going to be a butterfly until she saw the worm the kid in front of her got. It was huge! The hugeness (is that a word?) turned out to be a problem, because before we got to far, it had popped on the cement. We ended with some yummy ice cream, then it was home again for naps. We will probably make this a yearly thing going to the Arts Festival, because we all enjoyed it so much!

Friday Night we had a great time at a couples connect night at the church. There were lots of desserts and other food, and we played games and got to know the people at our table. I could tell I was a little rusty at the games because I couldn't remember how to play, and then once I did I can't say I helped our girls team very much. Sorry ladies. There was a special speaker, that spoke on marriage. The kids got to stay up extra late that night, they did pretty well though. We had a fun time.

Sunday was an awesome day. We had around 70 some people baptized in water. I have never experienced so many people at one time making a public commitment to the Lord. I know in the service I was in there were 25 baptized and then several other people in the service saved. It is so amazing to be a part of something so much bigger than I am. You just know it is God moving and working in people's hearts. What a great weekend!
