Pumpkin Patch, 09!!

This year we went to the Parkhurst pumpkin patch, and had a great time. The kids, and we, really enjoy this time of year. The pumpkin patch is becoming a yearly tradition with our family. The kids got to pet the animals at the petting zoo, go on a hay ride, walk through the corn maze, play on hay forts, swing on a rope swing, and pick out their own pumpkin to take home. We had a great time as a family, so much fun!!

Football.....

The kids and Brian have been enjoying throwing around the football lately. They love to go outside, and throw and kick it. Ian just bust out laughing all the time, he is so funny. His personality is full of energy and excitement, and he loves his daddy. I just love watching them interact. I am completely involved when I watch them play sometimes, thanking the Lord for such a great husband and daddy, knowing my kids feel love, and security with their daddy. Family truly is the most precious thing. I love these two guys in my life.

Mom's group Halloween/Autumn Party!!

The kids had so much fun today, at our mom's group Halloween/Autumn party. We had the party at our house, so all our friends came over to decorate pumpkins, have cupcakes, pizza, and to play. For the festivities I made popcorn balls for the kids to take home with them, a handful of candy to take as well. I made a friend of mine's apple Cinnamon spice tea, and caramel apple dip. We had an awesome dish from Andrea as well, I can't remember the name, but it was good (kind of like sweet potatoes, but with pecans on top with some sugar stuff on top too, soooo good!) The kids played, and had fun decorating their pumpkins with stickers, markers, and ribbon. The kids were so proud of their pumpkins. We had to display them outside with the other pumpkins as well. So much fun for both the kids and myself. It was just nice to be with friends too, and catch up. Thanks to all our friends for making it a great day!

Some "big" pumpkins!!

Izze with her pumpkins!

Finished product

The kids have been wanting to get some pumpkins, so a couple of weeks ago Brian found some huge ones, and we took the kids to get them. Izze wanted to make sure we got just the right pumpkins, so she helped "spot" them out. We finally got some much needed yard work done, and got our pumpkins set out on the porch. The kids were thrilled! Doesn't it just put a smile on your face? Happy pumpkin season everyone!!

1st dance/1st wedding!!

The other weekend some of our friends celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary by renewing their vows. The ceremony was beautiful, they wrote their own vows, new rings, cakes, a wedding all over again. It was such an awesome time for them, and such a great example to their kids, grand kids, friends and family. So happy for them, thank you for letting us be a part of such a great moment.

This was Isabelle's and Ian's first wedding. They had a great time. They got to drink punch from real "glass" cups, choose what kind of cake they wanted, and Izze got her first dance with daddy. She picked out her dress, and she wanted to dance with her daddy when the couple had their first dance. It was really something to see, someday it will be a much different scene. It was really the sweetest thing ever. Such a great day for everyone!

Super Hero, Ian!!

I think Ian got this from Super Y, but he likes for me to tie one of his blankets around him like a cape, then he wants two spatulas, and then he runs around saying, " super hero Ian to the rescue". So very cute, if I do say so myself. I had to get these pictures of him this morning to show to all my friends and family. Sometimes he says, "super hero Ian can help". His enthusiasm, expressions are priceless! love that little guy!

State Fair

Every year we try and meet friends at the state fair when it comes around. We really go for the food, but the kids really seemed to enjoy it last year, and this year was the same. We enjoyed several of the "fine" fair foods. The kids enjoyed seeing and petting the animals. Izze was feeding one of the animals and it took her cup away. Izze and Ian both got a toy this year. Izze got a big blow up horse, and Ian a blow up ball thing. They were so excited. Izze wanted to take that horse everywhere with her for several days afterward. We had so much fun this year. Seems it might become a family tradition.

Clyde Howell Pups!

This last week Isabelle was so excited she finally got her school shirt. This is a special thing, because every Friday everyone is suppose to wear their shirts. Last Friday was her first time to wear it, and you could tell she was so proud. She looked like such a big girl in her school shirt too. Oh, to the many adventures to come!

My Arms Stuck.....

This morning I heard Ian walking around the house saying, "my arms stuck, mommy", over and over again. He was looking for me, so I could help him. He was trying to take off his shirt, and got his arm stuck. So funny, I had to take a picture. This little guy brings so much fun, and laughter to my life, I adore him, and his sister!
