Jump Zone Fun!

Yesterday, we had a mom's connect group at Jump Zone! First time there and Izze really enjoyed it. Ian was still a little too small, but he got to join in some. Izze was even brave enough to go down some big slides. After playing we ate pizza with the other mom's and their kids. We had fun meeting some new people and finding a new place to play.

Weekend Update!!

Weekend update for the rush family! We had a good one. Friday during the day we spent some family time together. It was a nice day to get out. Hot but nice. Friday evening Brian and I went on a date! We left a little earlier than usual and let the sitter put both kids to bed. We went to Bricktown for the evening. We walked around and did some looking at all the cool shops they have down there. We grabbed a bite to eat and then went to a movie at the Harkins theater. We were in one of the biggest theaters, so we got the full movie experience. We got home around 10pm Izze was still up, I guess she thought she would test the limits with the new sitter. She went right to sleep when we put her down though. Saturday we got some routine stuff done, then Saturday night I had a ladies night out. Some of us ladies thought it would be nice to get out for dinner together without the kids. We had a good time. Sunday come along quickly it seemed, and after naps and everything that afternoon we headed to the park. One of Izze's favorite things to do! All in all a good weekend. We always look forward to those times to spend together and do stuff.

10 years and counting!!

This June Brian and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary! I know what you're thinking, because I caught myself thinking the same thing, has it been that long? Yep, that's right 10 years and still counting to the next 60 or more! These 10 years have gone by so fast, and we have done so much in those years. We have two amazing children, that has to be one of the best parts! I am still in love with Brian today! I would say, my love has grown, and changed in ways that only deepen our relationship. He is still my best friend, greatest supporter, and I still look forward to our date nights together. I love him for the man he is and strives to become each and every day. He loves God and wants to become a better follower of him, he loves me, and his children, it shows in his everyday journey. I couldn't have been blessed with a better partner to share life with. I love you babe!

This year Carol and Lin came to the city to watch the kids for us for a couple of days so we could get away by ourselves to Dallas. It was great! We had a lot of fun shopping, of course eating at our favorite places and hanging out together. Brian got me a necklace with the #10 engraved on the back. I love it! Thanks to Carol and Lin(nanny and papa) for watching the kids for us so we could have some time together.

Bubble time at Nanny and Papa's house! Ian and Brian (last picture)

Swim time at the Amarillo Pool! It was such a fun place.

Amarillo Zoo! Izze & Brian with the goats, Izze feeding the goats. She really enjoyed this. Ian trying to figure out these goats. Nanny, Papa, Izze, me & Ian at the Zoo, Me and Izze looking at the monkeys, Izze looking at the bears.

We had a great vacation in June! We spent a little time in Amarillo, Texas with Nanny and Papa. We did something everyday. We headed to the swimming pool, which was perfect. They had a kiddie pool which was perfect for both Izze and Ian. They had a little spray center which Izze really enjoyed. Nanny and papa were there to take pictures of the kids and take Izze back and forth and back and forth to all the fun stuff. The next day was all about the zoo. Izze and Ian got to see lions, bears, monkeys, goats, peacocks, bulls, and much more. Izze even got to play some on the playground area before leaving. We spent a lot of our time eating it seemed too. Mr. Gatti's is a pizza and play area, similar to incredible pizza here in OKC. The kids, and I have to admit we all had fun playing the games, and of course the buffet. The kids spent much time playing with nanny and papa, and blowing bubbles outside. Thank you nanny and papa for letting us come and have some fun with you, hope you got your house back in order after we left. Hope to do it again sometime. Love you guys, thanks for everything, we had lots of fun!

Birthday Girl!!

On Monday we celebrated Isabelle's 3rd birthday with our mom's group. It was so much fun having all her little friends over to have a party with. We had bubbles and chalk outside to play with, the kids had fun playing.. We had lunch and then on to the princess cupcakes. We had pink and brown cupcakes with little princess rings on top. Izze loved those, and wanted the princess ring off to wear. Also included with the lunch combo was malted milk balls which Izze tested and approved before party time. Chocolate covered strawberries, sandwiches and chips. Have to say the cupcakes were the best part of the food selection. We also had party hats galore. Princess ones too. Can you guess the theme of the party. PRINCESS!! She wore one of the little dresses that her nanny Faith got her and she looked sooo pretty in it. Like a little princess. Then it was present time. She got lots of fun stuff to play with. We handed out little prize bags to all her little friends as a thank you for coming! Thanks to all our mom's group families for coming to share in this special occasion with us!

Isabelle is growing and looking more and more like a little preschool girl! Sometimes I look at her and can hardly believe it. Three years she has been in our lives, and brought to our lives so much joy and love. Sometimes I just want to sit and hold her and spend as much time as I can with her, because I feel like the day will come so fast when she won't want me to do that anymore, and how I will feel at that moment will be heartbreaking. She is my little baby girl. So precious to us. Happy birthday baby Mommy, Daddy and brother love you very much. (I had to post a picture of our little guy too, he is so cute in his party hat. He thought he was such a big boy in it.)

July 4th!!

We had a great 4th of July this year! We headed to Ponca to spend some time with family! We went to my brothers house and cooked out and Isabelle got to swim and swim, she loved it. Tom, my brother has three girls and she has always loved to play with them. They always take good care of her too. We got to shoot off some small fireworks, and Izze threw her first snap pops. She would jump almost every time. Later in the day we celebrated Isabelle's 3rd birthday, with cake and homemade ice cream. Paw Paw Jack drove up to Ponca with us to celebrate, Nanny Faith was there, Tom, and his family, Jess and her family came out as well, and little Joslyn too. She had a princess cake and she got lots of fun stuff. We had a great time celebrating both events. Brian and I had a good friend of ours come out to see us while we were there. It has been a few years since we had seen him, so it was really nice to talk and catch up! Thanks Justin for taking time to visit with us. Thanks Tom and Chloe for having us up for the 4th, we need to try and get together more.

"Chalk it Up"

Izze wearing her star necklace she just made.

Izze jumping!

Ian wearing Izze's star hat!

Today our mom's group meet at "Chalk it Up"! It is part of the Liberty Festivities that Edmond puts on each year for the 4th of July. People have their own space to paint, color with chalk and then they are judged. With our little "artist", we just have fun! Izze was a lot of fun this year, she is older and can do more stuff. She wanted to go jumping in the big "Castle", as she called it, first thing. Then she got to make a 4th of July hat, glasses and necklace. She was almost brave enough to get something painted on her face, but she decided not to at the last minute. Again this year it was hot as ever. The kids seemed to enjoy it again this year, and I enjoy watching them.

Time With Friends!

Yesterday the kids and I had a great time with some friends of ours. It was so great to see everyone again, (after being on vacation). We just got to relax and have lunch together and watch the kids play. So glad I have you ladies in my life. You make me better and my life more enjoyable. Can't wait to do it again soon!
