Passing Of A "Generation"

It's been said it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, and a day to love them, but then an entire life to forget them. I have to say I will never forget my Grandmother. Grandma passed away August 16th, 2007. She was a child of God, a wife, a mother, a Grandma to me, as well as many others. There was something special about going to Grandma's house. The way the air flowed through the house when the attic fan was on to just the feeling of the surroundings, "out in the country," as I called it. There were no expectations, you could just be yourself, her home was always open. So many memories I will treasure, and one day share with my children. For they will never be able to know and appreciate this generation the way I knew it and NOW appreciate it. Grandma thank you for giving to me, encouraging me & loving me. You have placed your fingerprint within my heart for a lifetime. Now I know you are in your right mind (for the Alzheimer's is no more), you are at peace with no pain in the presence of the Lord. I know you are looking upon me with a smile, and blowing kisses to your great grandchildren. This is good bye for now, see you again someday. I Love you, your "Lisa"

4 Months Old!

Well, it's hard to believe, but Ian has turned 4 months old on August 19th. At his four month checkup his pediatrician confirmed what I already knew - he is growing and changing daily. He was 14lb. & 6oz, (which put him in the 50% for his weight.) He was 26 inches long, (which put him in the 90% for his height), can't imagine who he got that from. Everyone says if you put glasses on him he would look just like daddy. He is so sweet and handsome. We like to call him "Smiley" because he smiles all the time. I went to check on him one morning and I found him on his tummy, which made me a little nervous, but everytime you lay him down now he immediately turns on his tummy, of course with his thumb in his mouth. Yes everyone we have a thumb sucker. I guess some day we will have to deal with that issue. He likes to talk to you, his personality is getting bigger by the day. We tried cereal for the first time this week, and he caught the concept pretty fast. I think he really enjoys his dinner. I got his and Izze's picture made, it turned out really well. Everyone should be getting pictures in the mail in the next week or so. Anyways, had to update everyone on our little man.
