Staff Retreat 09'

This past week we got to get away for the annual staff retreat, we had so much fun this year! The kids were older this year, and enjoyed swimming a lot. Brian and I enjoyed going out on the sea-doos, and the boat this year. We had a blast on the sea-doos, and Brian even took a little swim when I was driving. We enjoyed just riding, looking at all the houses and the scenery. It is really a relaxing place to be. The boat ride was a lot of fun. This year I took a ride on the tube. Actually three of us girls rode together, we laughed so hard, almost the whole ride. It was great! In the pictures: the kids and I were sitting outside our room one afternoon, and Izze had found some leaves and was exploring some. Brian and Ian getting ready to swim. Isabelle getting ready to go back home, she was tired. Picture of some of the kids the day we were going back home. The pictures of Ian with the shoes on his face, we were waiting for our food at the Roadhouse. I think he was bored, the next picture he had his hand on his face, waiting. I just thought he was so cute. He has so much personality. The rest of the pictures of the kids and myself, and Brian and the kids, we took while waiting to eat at the Roadhouse. We ate there last year as well, it is really good food, worth the wait. We have great food the whole time. Shelby makes the best ribs for us, and the desserts are great, too great really, because I eat too many. We stay up late talking and laughing. Fun trip, we always enjoy it.

3rd Day in North Little Rock!

This day was our final day, and it was spent packing up and saying good- bye to our family! We headed to Mike and Sunny's house for one more visit before we headed back home. The kids played just a little longer, and then it was lots of hugs. We had a great time with them on our vacation and hope to do it again sometime. Hope to see them again soon!

2nd Day in North Little Rock!

Our second day in North Little Rock was a lot of fun! We all headed down town to the Market Place. This was an outside/inside market that happens a couple times a week. It was a great little area. We headed outside to buy some fresh strawberries, squash, tomatoes, and Izze found some treasures of her own. The Market was full of fun places inside too, it was fun to look around. After the market place, we headed to a nearby park. This park was a lot of fun, it had tunnels that the kids could go in and then they come out at a different place. They had a little spray park area, which we let the kids go in clothes and all. They ran around and around, in and out of the water. It was a lot of fun watching them play. We found a great place to eat downtown. It was a neat place, because it was an inside place to sit, but no windows, so it was like eating outside. It reminded me of our times in Mexico when we would eat outdoors at the little food places. It was great food! We headed back for naps, then after naps, did a little swimming. For dinner we headed to one of the number one BBQ places, and they had a real stuffed bear inside. The kids thought it was cool, but Ian wasn't too sure. Ian had come to get me to show me the bear, and this police officer (who was eating at the restaurant), growled at him, and it was all over from there. The officer apologized, but the damage was already done. Ian held on to me the whole time we were eating, and wouldn't even hardly look up to eat, or turn around. He was fine once we got outside, and was back to his little boy self. We headed to the Capitol building to let the kids run off some energy before bedtime. The kids ran and ran, and played and played. They even tackled Uncle Mike. They had a blast! We headed back to the hotel for bedtime. A great end to a great day with family!

Nanny & Papa Visit

This Thursday, we got to spend some time with Nanny Carol & Papa Lin. They have been here in the City with Caleb while he is in the hospital, and recovering from surgery. The kids were so excited knowing that they were coming to see them. We meet up with them at Old Chicago, their pizza is so good! The kids really wanted Papa and Nanny to come back to our house for a little bit, so they did. We always enjoy spending time with them. I think the kids miss them when they haven't seen them in awhile. Isabelle climbed all over papa, and Ian broke out just a little bit of his dance/singing skills. He gets his little leg going and everything. So cute. Isabelle had on her new dress that Nanny and Papa got her too. She put it on at the hospital, and has worn it for two days now!! Nanny and Papa stayed for awhile and then they needed to get back to the hospital. We had a good time with them, and hope to see them again soon!! Love you guys!

Ian Swimming

Brian had this Thursday off instead of his regular day off, so he got to enjoy taking the kids to their swimming lessons. Yes, Ian did better with him than he does with me, the instructor even thought so. Something about the daddy role! Since Brian was able to get in the water with Ian, I was able to get some shots of him in action this time too, instead of just Izze. They both did so well this time. Izze is doing better going under water, and Ian is getting more used to the water. It was really fun to be able to watch him too.
