Museum Fun!

Monday, was free admission day at Sam Noble Museum, so we headed to Norman with our mom's group! The kids have been one other time and enjoyed it, and this time was just the same. The discovery room was open. This is where everything in the room is kid friendly, they can touch real "stuffed" animals and learn about them, play, dig for fossils (this is what the green goggles were for), look at fish, lots of exciting stuff. There are many other rooms they can look at dinosaurs, and other animals, and it is hands on learning. Very cool, fun place for the kids, we had fun! They want to go back with daddy sometime! (picture of our friend Evie, the kids had fun together)

Birthday Fun!

Hello again blogging world. I have had a long absence I know, so I will try and get things caught up. I really do have a lot to post, hope I don't forget it all...

My birthday was the last part of July, and I had a great one. I got to have lunch with friends, received cards, and gifts, always nice! I received cards in the mail from family, which for me is always special to be remembered. Showered with FB messages, don't you love technology! Brian and I got to go to Deep Fork to celebrate both of our birthdays this last weekend, which was fun. We went to see a movie, and then indulged in "something chocolate" from Red Rock. In the words of Ian, "delicious"! We had a fun weekend. Brian and the kids also made me cupcakes and a little cake, with sprinkles, so very sweet!!

Monday was Brian's birthday, so the kids and I got him a most delicious chocolate cake, which we all enjoyed, and cards. Gotta love those birthdays!! Now, we just have to finish all those yummy cakes, cupcakes!!

New Princess Dress

Such a sweet smile.

She was finishing her dance and song.

When daddy got home they had to dance.

She was showing me a new dance, with her dress on.

She was posing so sweetly.

Another sweet pose.

Isabelle received a new princess dress, and head piece for her birthday, and she loved it so much, I had to take some pictures of her. She wanted it on and then she wanted to show me a new dance. She was moving all around the house. You could tell she felt really special in the dress. Although mommy and daddy looked at each other and said,"is this how it's going to be when she gets married one day"? She looked like such a little princess/bride. She has a special name for her dress and everything. What a special gift.

Mom's group Birthday Party!!

Yesterday, our mom's group had a little birthday party for Isabelle. I really can't believe she turned four years old. Where did my little 7lb. baby go??? Four seems like such a transition to the little girl stage. My emotions are playing tug-a-war inside. Anyway, we had a good time with all her little friends. We played outside in the water, did bubbles, then headed inside for some cool air. After lunch she got to blow out her candle on her cupcake, and all the kiddos enjoyed one. Then, it was present time. She got princess stuff, which she loves, Ariel dolls, microphone (she will be singing now), color stuff, sparkle jewelry stuff, wow, what more could a girl want. We had a great time with all our friends, so thankful for this group of ladies and glad our kids get to grow up together.

We had a short, but nice visit with Mike, Sunny, Jackson, & Goldie last weekend. They were here the day before the 4th, and spent the afternoon hanging out at our house. The kids had so much fun playing together. It is always great seeing them anytime.

Isabelle sliding into the pool, no fear hear. She was ready!

The kids got to enjoy a little more swimming fun at a friends birthday party. They had fun swimming/playing with their friends, then eating lunch and yummy cake. It was a princess party, so everyone could dress up, some cuties! We had fun, happy 3rd birthday to our friend!

Staff Retreat 09'

This past week we got to get away for the annual staff retreat, we had so much fun this year! The kids were older this year, and enjoyed swimming a lot. Brian and I enjoyed going out on the sea-doos, and the boat this year. We had a blast on the sea-doos, and Brian even took a little swim when I was driving. We enjoyed just riding, looking at all the houses and the scenery. It is really a relaxing place to be. The boat ride was a lot of fun. This year I took a ride on the tube. Actually three of us girls rode together, we laughed so hard, almost the whole ride. It was great! In the pictures: the kids and I were sitting outside our room one afternoon, and Izze had found some leaves and was exploring some. Brian and Ian getting ready to swim. Isabelle getting ready to go back home, she was tired. Picture of some of the kids the day we were going back home. The pictures of Ian with the shoes on his face, we were waiting for our food at the Roadhouse. I think he was bored, the next picture he had his hand on his face, waiting. I just thought he was so cute. He has so much personality. The rest of the pictures of the kids and myself, and Brian and the kids, we took while waiting to eat at the Roadhouse. We ate there last year as well, it is really good food, worth the wait. We have great food the whole time. Shelby makes the best ribs for us, and the desserts are great, too great really, because I eat too many. We stay up late talking and laughing. Fun trip, we always enjoy it.
